Part-time childcare leave allowed from June 22, 2008

From June 22, a worker can apply for shorter working hours program for childcare. From the same date, paternity leave is allowed to male employees who become a father. Also, workers can divide up the use of the one year period of childcare leave at least once. The following is a summary of the systems based on a press release of the Ministry of labor. LSA articles non-applicable to workplaces with less than 5 workers

The Labor Standards Act applies to all workplaces that hire workers. However, there are some articles of the law that are not mandatory for a workplace with less than 5 workers.

Rules of employment for a workplace with 10 or more workers
